Fourteen small apps — money, PDFs, meeting notes, résumés, habits — each one bought once and owned for good, every future update included. They install like apps, and they keep working when they cannot reach us.

Rent your tools, or own them.

Everything on this site is a one-time purchase. Not a discount, not an annual plan with a nicer name — you pay once, and the app is yours with every update we ever ship on top of it.

the usual deal

Renting

  • You pay for the same software again every month, and next year's price is theirs to set.
  • The bill continues whether you opened it this month or not.
  • Stop paying and you stop being a customer, which is a different thing from stopping being a user.

what this is

Owning

  • One payment, and the version you bought is yours — including every update we ship after it.
  • One LifeTime account, and the licence covers every device you sign in on.
  • It keeps working when it cannot reach us, because the app runs where you are rather than where we are.

What the same job costs by the year

  • Adobe Acrobat Standard is about $155 a year, and about $155 a year again next year. PDFMod is $99, once.

  • The nearest thing to FIRE Model we know of costs $129 a year. Two years of it costs more than owning FIRE Model outright at $249. There is no third payment.

  • A model provider's own chat plan is $20 a month, on top of the API credit you already buy. OwnKeys is $59, once, and it talks to the models you are already paying for.

Those three numbers are the ones each of those apps quotes on its own site, and they are the only comparisons on this page. Where we have no figure we can stand behind, there is no comparison — which is why the other eleven are described by what they do rather than by what somebody else charges.

We sell a rental too, and it is worse value on purpose

WealthPlanned is $99 to own, or $25 a week to rent. Four weeks of renting therefore costs more than owning it outright, and the rent does not count toward the purchase — which is exactly why the rental is there. It is for the person with one month's work to do, not for us. Rent five weeks and the licence drops to half price, and that is the whole of the offer.

Before you get any further — what this is not

There is no macOS, Windows or Linux build in this release, and none is included in the price. Every one of the fourteen is a web app you can install, and each one says so on its own page.

  • Nine of the fourteen also rent by the week. Rent buys you nothing toward owning, and we say so on the button.
  • Ten of the fourteen have no device-to-device sync at all. Every checkout states which kind you are buying before you pay.
  • There are no testimonials, no star ratings and no logos on this site. You get a recording of the real app and a demo you can drive yourself.
  • There is no trial, because there is nothing to unlock into — the demo is the product, running.

The fourteen

one price each, yours forever

Each one is a whole product rather than a feature: its own site, its own demo, its own price. Buy the one you need and ignore the other thirteen — nothing here is sold as a suite you have to swallow whole.

WealthPlanned

You paid for dinner in Lisbon on a card billed at home. Most ledgers make you choose which of those two numbers was real. This one keeps the euros as euros, sits them beside the dollars, and still adds the month up correctly.

Your money story lives on your device, and goes to your own account only when you switch sync on — over HTTPS, and not end-to-end encrypted, so we could read a synced ledger.

  • Daily & monthly expense tracking
  • Budgets, goals and a wishlist
  • Investments with net-worth trends
  • Multi-currency, CSV bank import
  • Works fully offline — optional sync to your own account

One payment covers every app on this page and every app we ship after it — including the ones that do not exist yet, which arrive in your account without you paying again. The price goes up as the catalogue grows, and whatever you pay is what you paid, permanently.

One payment, once. The price on the page below is the price you pay, and it is the price you keep paying nothing after — no renewal, no seat count, no tier that expires. It rises as the catalogue grows, and never for you.

Why lifetime?

01

Pay once

Subscriptions are rent. This is ownership — one price, every update we ever ship, and a licence that covers every device you sign in on.

02

Offline-first

Your data lives in a file on your device. The apps that sync send a copy to your own account — only once you switch that on, over HTTPS, and not end-to-end encrypted, so we could read a synced file if we looked. Beyond that the app talks to our server only to confirm you own it, and it keeps working when it can't reach us.

One person, fourteen apps

These are built by one person, and the address at the bottom of this page reaches him rather than a support queue. There is no growth target here that a subscription would be the answer to, nothing to sunset when a metric misses, and nobody to be acquired by.
