Privacy

The short version: most of our apps never send your work anywhere, the four that can only do it when you switch it on, and we have never had an analytics or advertising tracker on any of them.

Who is responsible for your data

LifeTime Apps is run by an individual, not a registered company. That person is the data controller for everything described on this page, and is reachable at hello@lifetimeapps.co.

If you are in the UK or EU and need a postal address for a formal request, ask at that address and it will be given to you. We would rather tell you that plainly than print an address here that is not a real place of business.

What we never receive

We never see your card number, and we never hold your payment details.

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, who are the merchant of record for every sale. They take the payment, handle the tax, and appear on your statement. What reaches us afterwards is a confirmation containing your email address, which app you bought, and their payment reference — nothing else.

What we store, and why

Nothing at all until you do one of three things: join a waiting list, create an account, or buy something. Browsing the site stores nothing about you.

If you create an account

Your email address, the times you signed in, and — only if you enter one — a display name. This is what lets you sign in again and see what you own.

If you buy something

A record of which app you bought, whether it is a lifetime licence or a weekly rental, when you bought it, when a rental expires, how many weeks you have paid, and Dodo’s payment reference. We keep the payment confirmations themselves so that the same one arriving twice cannot charge or grant you twice.

While you use an app you own

Each app you have unlocked tells us, at most, that it is still being used: which app, a random identifier for the device, when it was first and last seen, and the browser’s user-agent string. This exists for one purpose — noticing when a single licence is being used on many devices at once — and it is never used to build a profile of you, and never sold or shared.

If you turn sync on

4 of our 14 apps can copy your work to your own account so it reaches your other devices: WealthPlanned, Complyted, Gratefull, CappyBara Time. This is off until you switch it on. When it is on, the contents of that app — your transactions, your tasks, your entries, your sessions — are stored against your user id so only you can read them back.

The other 10 apps have no sync at all and no ability to send your work to us: PDFMod, HabitGrid, ShotStudio, saidit, ownnotes, QueryDesk, ATSReady, OwnKeys, TablePlan, FIRE Model. What you make in them stays in your browser’s storage on that device unless you export it yourself.

Where your data goes outside of us

Dodo Payments — takes payments and is the merchant of record. Their privacy terms cover what they collect at checkout.

Supabase — hosts the database and the sign-in system.

Vercel — serves the websites.

ZeptoMail — delivers the sign-in emails and receipts.

The AI provider you choose, in OwnKeys only — OwnKeys talks to whichever model provider you supply a key for, and your messages go to that provider under your own account with them. We are not in the middle of it and never see those messages. No other app in the catalogue sends anything to an AI provider; the ones that transcribe speech do it on your own device.

We have never used an analytics service, an advertising network or a third-party tracker on any of these sites, and there is none in place today.

Where it is kept

Our database and sign-in system are hosted in the United States (Supabase, us-east-1). If you are in the UK or EU, that means your data is transferred outside your country when you create an account, buy something, or turn sync on.

Cookies

One kind only: the cookie that keeps you signed in after you click a sign-in link. It exists because sign-in cannot work without it, so there is no consent banner asking you to accept tracking — there is no tracking to accept.

The apps themselves also use your browser’s local storage to hold your work on your device. That never leaves your device unless you turn sync on, and clearing it deletes your work, which is why every app can export everything it holds.

Your rights, and how to use them

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete all of it. Email hello@lifetimeapps.co from the address on your account and we will do it within 30 days.

Deleting your account never traps your work.

Every app can export everything it holds, at any time, without signing in and whether or not your licence is active. Export first, then ask us to delete — once it is gone from our side we cannot get it back for you.

Deleting your account removes your sign-in record, your profile, your licence records, the device list described above, and any work you synced. It does not remove Dodo’s record of the payment itself, which they are required to keep for tax purposes.

If you are in the UK or EU you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

How long we keep it

Licence records last as long as the licence, which for a lifetime purchase means indefinitely — it is the proof that you own the thing you bought. Synced content lasts until you delete it or delete your account. Waiting-list emails are kept until that app launches or you ask us to remove you. Device records are kept while the licence is active.

Children

These apps are not designed for children, and we do not knowingly collect anything from a child under 16. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will remove it.

Changes to this page

If what we collect changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. If a change is significant and you have an account, you will get an email — not a silently edited page.
